First fall in number of local pharmacy services in six years

NHS data has revealed that the number of local NHS pharmacy services fell more than 5 per cent in the last financial year. This is the first drop in six years.

A review of pharmacy services in England has found that PCTs have cut enhanced services by 1,679 in 2011-12, meaning that for the first time since 2005 the number of local enhanced services have fallen.
