Prescription Ordering Is Changing

FROM 1st JANUARY YOU CANNOT ORDER A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION THROUGH YOUR PHARMACY

HOW TO ORDER YOUR MEDICATION FROM 1st JANUARY 2022:

  • Download the Weldricks Pharmacy App and use your NHS Login

  • Use the NHS App

  • Use GP online access

  • Take your repeat slips into your GP surgery

After your GP issues your prescription, it will go to your chosen pharmacy in the usual way. Using the Weldricks App means you will get a message when your prescription is ready to collect or deliver.

TOP TIPS FOR ORDERING YOUR MEDICATION:

  • Allow sufficient time and order 7 to 10 days before you run out of your medication

  • Only order the medication that you need

  • If you get your medication in an MDS (tray) this change does not affect you

  • A relative or carer can order on your behalf

This process is being introduced across Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) through all GP practices and Pharmacies to help reduce medicines waste, which costs around £1m each year in Doncaster.
