The Clearblue Ovulation Test gives you more test sticks than any other 5 test brand, making it more effective at detecting your the LH surge.

The Clearblue Ovulation Test:

  • Is 99% accurate at detecting your LH surge
  • Offers 40% more test sticks than any other brand to increase your chances of detecting your LH surge in a given cycle
  • Its reference line indicates that you've performed the test correctly
  • Gives your result in 3 minutes

Did you know that one in two couples could be trying to conceive on the wrong days of the woman's cycle? And did you know that your basal body temperature only increases after ovulation, making it not much use to aid conception in that cycle?

The Clearblue Ovulation Test detects the rise of the ovulation hormone LH 24-36 hours prior to ovulation and identifies the 2 best days to conceive in a given cycle. Making love during these 2 days gives you your best chance of conceiving.

The Clearblue Ovulation Test gives you more test sticks than any other brand, making it more likely to detect your the LH surge.

You use the Clearblue Ovulation Test once a day, at the same time each day, on the days around the time when you expect your LH surge. It identifies the days in your cycle when you are most likely to conceive.

How Does a Clearblue Pregnancy Test with Colour Change Tip Work?

When you become pregnant your body starts to produce the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG). The amount of hCG in your body doubles approximately every 2 to 3 days, and reaches a maximum at around 7 to 12 weeks into the pregnancy. It stays at a higher than normal level for the rest of the pregnancy, and for up to 3 weeks after giving birth.

The Clearblue Pregnancy Test with Colour Change Tip works by detecting the pregnancy hormone in your urine and is over 99% accurate when used from the day your period is due. You can use it up to 4 days before your period is due but if you get a ‘Not Pregnant' result, you should test again when your period is due. The levels of pregnancy hormone in your urine may not be high enough to be detected yet.

The Colour Change Tip and the control window give you extra reassurance by showing you that the test is working.

The result window will give you a clear (+) result if you're pregnant and a clear (-) result if you are not pregnant.

Directions

How Do I Do a Clearblue Ovulation Test.

Please note: these are abbreviated instructions. Always read the in-pack leaflet before carrying out a test.

Clearblue Ovulation Tests are very easy to use. When you're ready to do a Clearblue Ovulation Test, open the foil wrapper by tearing along the slit. Remove the test stick and take off the cap.

Hold the Absorbent Sampler pointing downwards in your urine stream for 5 seconds only. Alternatively, you can collect a sample of your urine in a clean, dry container and hold just the absorbent sampler in the urine for 20 seconds only. When you remove it, remember to keep the absorbent sampler pointing downwards or lie the stick on a flat surface in front of you.

A Reference Line will appear to indicate that you have performed the test correctly.

After 3 minutes you will be able to read your result by comparing the strength of the colour of the Surge Line (the line nearest the arrow) with the Reference Line. To get an accurate reading, you need to read your result within 10 minutes of doing a test, and disregard any changes after this time.

If there is no Surge Line or the Surge Line is paler than the Reference Line, you haven't detected your LH surge. You should test again tomorrow at the same time using a new test stick.

If the Surge Line is similar to the Reference Line, or even darker, you've detected your LH surge, which means you've reached your most fertile time. Making love any time in the next 48 hours will maximise your chances of getting pregnant.

Once you've detected your surge, there's no need to carry on testing during that cycle. You can store any test sticks you have left in case you need them for your next cycle.

How can I use Clearblue Pregancy test with colour change tip?

Please note, these are abbreviated instructions. Always read the in-pack leaflet before carrying out a test.

When you're ready to do your Clearblue Pregnancy Test with Colour Change Tip, simply remove the one-piece Test Stick from its individual foil wrapper and take off the cap.

You can test directly in your urine stream, or in a sample of your urine collected in a clean, dry container. Hold the Colour Change Tip pointing downwards either in your urine stream, or in your collected urine sample, for 5 seconds only.
The Colour Change Tip will quickly turn pink, showing that urine is being absorbed, but it's important to continue to hold it in the urine for the full 5 seconds.
Keep the Colour Change Tip pointing downwards or lie the Test Stick flat until the line has appeared in the Control Window. You can read your result after 2 minutes.

If you're testing from the day your period is due, you can test at any time of the day. If testing early, you should use the first urine of the day. You should avoid drinking excessive amounts of fluids before testing.

When can I use Clearblue Pregnancy Test with colour change tip?

Clearblue recommends that you test from the day your period is due. However, Clearblue Pregnancy Test with Colour Change Tip can be used up to 4 days before your period is due.

If you test before your period is due and get a ‘Not Pregnant' result, there is still a chance that you may be pregnant but that your hormone level is still not high enough for the test to detect.

If you test again in 3 days time and get another ‘Not Pregnant' result and you still haven't had your period, we recommend you see your doctor.

In clinical testing with early pregnancy samples Clearblue Pregnancy Test with Colour Change Tip gave the following results: 53% of women received a ‘Pregnant' result 4 days early, 74% of women 3 days early, 84% of women two days early and 87% of women 1 day early.
