Description

This combined tick & flea comb remover is the natural way to remove parasites. It's ergonomic and compact design make it pet friendly, comfortable to hold and it is simple and easy to use on all animals. It also features a key-ring attachment to ensure it is always to hand.

Directions

Flea Comb:

1. Put your pet into a calm relaxed state before you start.
2. Work in an area that is well lit.
3. Use your pets normal brush or comb first to groom and untangle knotted hair.
4. Stand your pet over a large sheet of white paper so you can monitor the debris removed from their coat.
5. Run the comb slowly through the fur from head to tail.
6. You may find a flea on your comb or on the paper. Capture the fleas on sticky tape and look for flea faeces by wetting the paper; they will turn blood red.
7. Repeat this procedure every 2 - 3 days.
8. If you find a flea on your pet, it is highly likely that there are many more adults, eggs and larvae in your pets fur and around your home.

The life cycle of fleas is closely connected to that of intestinal worms, so your pet may need worm-treatment.

Tick Remover:

1. Have another person calm your dog with treats whilst you check out the tick.
2. Do not squeeze the body of the tick whilst trying to pull it off.
3. Using the slit in the comb head (opposite side of the teeth of the comb) slide it under the tick. Then twist the comb in one direction until it lifts away from your pet's skin.
4. Inspect the tick to be sure you have removed the body and mouthparts. If you have just removed the body of the tick but left the legs under your dog's skin it is advised you contact your vet.
5. Apply some disinfectant to the area from which you removed the tick and monitor for infection.

Warnings
