As a family owned Pharmacy business, we are proud to be offering Apprenticeship positions in Customer Service to support the local communities we operate in.

The Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship offers successful applicants a minimum twelve-month position with dedicated time to study in college.

That’s why here at Weldricks, we have created a training and support package for our apprentice colleagues to build the knowledge, skills and behaviours, along with on the job training, needed in the healthcare sector. The role of a customer service practitioner is to deliver high quality products and services to our customers. Your core responsibility will be to provide a high quality service to customers which will be delivered from within our local branch network. The course will cover, amongst many other elements; dealing with orders, payments, offering advice, guidance and support, meet-and-greet, sales, fixing problems, after care, service recovery, or gaining insight through measuring customer satisfaction.

Your actions will influence the customers’ experience of our pharmacy and their satisfaction with our organisation. You will be trained to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and behaviours as well as in depth product knowledge. We will also provide pharmacy specific training on the regulatory requirements for selling medicines and the counselling skills to be able to recommend appropriate products to our customers. Your customer interactions may cover a wide range of situations and can include; face-to-face, telephone, post, email, text and app messaging.


The apprenticeship will take a minimum of 12 months to complete

Entry requirements

Apprentices will be required to have or achieve level 1 English and Maths and to have taken level 2 English and Maths tests prior to completion of their Apprenticeship.

Completion of this apprenticeship will lead to eligibility to join the Institute of Customer Service as an Individual member at Professional level.
