How to Use Calpol SixPlus Sugar Free Suspension Strawberry Flavour 6+ Years 100ml

Always shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use and use the syringe supplied with the pack for accurate dosing.

Recommended Dosage:

• Children aged 6 - 8 years: 5 ml, up to 4 times a day.
• Children aged 8 - 10 years: 7.5 ml (5 ml + 2.5 ml), up to 4 times a day.
• Children aged 10 - 12 years: 10 ml (5 ml + 5 ml), up to 4 times a day.
• Children aged 12 - 16 years: 10-15 ml (Two to three 5 ml doses), up to 4 times a day.
• Adults and children over 16 years: 10-20 ml (Two to four 5 ml doses), up to 4 times a day.

Ensure you leave at least 4 hours between doses and do not give more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period. If your child's symptoms do not improve after 3 days, or if they need more medicine than shown, consult your doctor or a Weldricks pharmacist.

Important Warnings and Precautions

• Do not give this medicine:
  • If your child is allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredients listed in section 6.
  • If your child has had a bad reaction to any ingredients before.
  • If your child is taking any other medicine containing paracetamol.
• Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if:
  • Your child has serious kidney or liver problems.
  • Your child has an inherited intolerance to fructose or has been diagnosed with an intolerance to some other sugars.
• During treatment, seek medical advice immediately if:
  • Your child develops severe illnesses such as severe renal impairment or sepsis.
  • Symptoms of metabolic acidosis occur (serious breathing difficulties, drowsiness, feeling sick, vomiting).
  • Allergic reactions (swelling of face, tongue, throat, difficulty swallowing, wheezing, shortness of breath, rash, hives).
  • Unusual tiredness, bruising, bleeding, or frequent infections.
  • Serious skin reactions (skin reddening, blisters, rash) occur or worsen.
• Other medicines and paracetamol: Inform your doctor or pharmacist if your child is taking metoclopramide, domperidone, cholestyramine, anticoagulants (like warfarin), anticonvulsants, or flucloxacillin.
• Adults taking this medicine: If you are taking oral contraceptives, this medicine may be less effective. If you drink large amounts of alcohol, consult your doctor before use. If necessary, it can be used during pregnancy, but use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time. Seek advice if breastfeeding.
• Overdose: Talk to a doctor at once if too much medicine is taken, even if symptoms seem well, as paracetamol overdose can cause delayed, serious liver damage.
• Storage: Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not store above 25°C.

Active ingredient per 5ml is Paracetamol 250mg.

Also contains: Maltitol, Sorbitol Liquid (E420), Glycerol, Dispersible Cellulose, Xanthan Gum, Polysorbate 80, Methyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E218), Propyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E216), Acesulfame Potassium, Saccharin Sodium and Purified Water. The flavouring is imitation strawberry.
