Piles or haemorrhoids are swollen varicose veins in and around the anus and rectum. Haemorrhoids can be painful and itchy, especially after a bowel movement. They are common in pregnancy but can also be caused by straining during a bowel movement. Piles can be an embarrassing problem, but they are easily treated at home.
Haemorrhoid suppositories are inserted just inside the rectum using the applicator provided. They target internal piles, bringing soothing relief and reducing inflammation. Use haemorrhoid suppositories two or three times a day, or after a bowel movement.
If piles are a recurrent problem, make sure you eat plenty of fibre in your diet.
