What about contact time?
Contact time determines how long a disinfectant must remain on a surface to reach its log reduction. Other disinfectants need 2-5 minutes and sometimes even 10 minutes to effectively disinfect a surface. Long contact times aren’t practical as the disinfectant must remain wet the entire time. That’s why fast contact times like that of Clinell Universal Wipes deliver an effective clean very quickly, making cleaning and disinfection simple.
Why does efficacy matter?
Many different disinfection products show how effectively they remove microorganisms with a percentage on their packaging. This is called a log reduction. Log reductions are calculated by testing disinfectants against different microorganisms and seeing how well they kill them. For example, if you put disinfectant in a petri dish with 1,000,000 microorganisms and it leaves 1,000 microorganisms, then that disinfectant would have a 3 log rating: equalling 99.9%. However, Clinell Universal Wipes have a 4 log rating, meaning that out of 1,000,000 microorganisms, only 100 remain, resulting in a 99.99% efficacy rating.
Directions
For use on surfaces:
Wipe in an 'S' shaped pattern from clean to dirty.
Allow to air dry.
Warnings
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Avoid contact with eyes.
Discontinue use if irritation develops. If irritation persists for more than 72 hours, seek medical advice.
