Dioralyte Relief Sachets Raspberry Pack of 6

Dioralyte Relief is recommended for the replacement of essential body water and salts in the treatment of acute diarrhoea. During diarrhoea the body loses water and salts and Dioralyte Relief replaces these whilst at the same time helping watery stools return to normal more rapidly. Early use is important to avoid dehydration, especially in the young and elderly.

Adults (including elderly) and children (1 year and above): One sachet after each loose motion up to a maximum of 5 sachets per day for 3 - 4 days.

Infants aged 3 months to 1 year should be given Dioralyte Relief Blackcurrant ONLY under medical supervision.

Dioralyte Relief Blackcurrant should NOT be given to infants under 3 months.

Infants under the age of 2 with diarrhoea should be seen by a doctor as soon as possible. If symptoms persist and no improvement is seen after 36 hours you must seek medical advice immediately.

Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 200ml (approx. 7 fl oz) of drinking water. Use fresh drinking water for adults and children. Where drinking water is unavailable, the water should be freshly boiled and cooled. The solution should be made up immediately before use. If refrigerated, the solution may be stored for up to 24 hours, otherwise any solution remaining after reconstitution should be discarded. Dioralyte Relief Raspberry when made up in water is a milky coloured liquid.

Ask your doctor before taking this medicine if:

• you have persistent vomiting
• you are suffering from and intestinal obstruction (which may give you severe pain or swelling)
• you have kidney or liver trouble
• you have diabetes
• you are on a low sodium or potassium diet

Always ensure that each sachet is dissolved in 200ml (approx. 7fl oz) of water

If more than the recommended amount of water is used, the solution will become too weak and not have the most effective concentration for water and salt absorption.

If less that the recommended amount of water is used, the solution will be too concentrated and give rise to water loss instead of absorption.

Use in Children and Infants- This medicine may be used in children and infants but care must be taken with the amount given.  Infants under the age of 2 must be seen by a doctor as soon as possible.

Each sachet contains pre-cooked Rice Powder 6g, Sodium Citrate 580mg, Sodium Chloride 350mg and Potassium Chloride 300mg.

Also contains: Aspartame, Hypromellose, Raspberry Flavour and Ethanol.
