Malaria Tablets & Repellents

Malaria is a serious disease transmitted by infected mosquitoes in certain parts of the world. It is recommended that you take anti-malarial medication if you intend to travel to at-risk countries or regions.

There are two different antimalarial drugs: chloroquine phosphate and proguanil hydrochloride. Each will provide a degree of protection in specific countries. Always check which medication is recommended for the area you are visiting.

Read the dosage instructions carefully before using anti-malarial medication and continue taking for the recommended period after leaving an infected area. Be vigilant for symptoms of malaria and seek medical advice immediately if you suspect you may have been infected.
