How do I use ear drops?
Ear drops should be used according to the instructions on the packaging. Typically, a few drops are placed into the affected ear while lying on your side, allowing the solution to remain in the ear for several minutes before sitting upright.
How long do ear drops take to work?
Most ear drops begin working within a few days. For stubborn wax, it may take up to a week of regular use. Always follow the recommended treatment duration.
Can I leave ear drops in overnight?
Ear drops are usually left in the ear for a few minutes only. Leaving drops in overnight is not recommended unless the product instructions specifically advise it.
Can ear drops damage hearing aids?
Ear drops should be removed from the ear canal before reinserting hearing aids. Residue may temporarily affect sound quality, so allow ears to dry fully before use.
Why is my hearing muffled after using ear drops?
Temporary muffled hearing can occur as softened wax swells before breaking down. This usually improves as the wax loosens and clears.
Can ear drops help with tinnitus?
Ear drops do not treat tinnitus directly. However, if tinnitus is caused by ear wax build-up, clearing the blockage may help reduce symptoms.
