How Distilled Coal Tar 2.5% w/v Works

The lotion should be used like a shampoo.

• Wet the hair thoroughly.
• Apply a small amount of Psoriderm Scalp Lotion Shampoo 250ml to the scalp (approximately a quantity the size of a fifty pence piece / two Euro piece for short hair, adjusting up depending on length/thickness of hair).
• With the tips of the fingers, massage in thoroughly.
• Leave on for a few minutes.
• Remove as much lather as possible with the hands (this is important as it will take the scales with it).
• Rinse out well under running water.
• If necessary, repeat the steps above.
• Dry the hair as normal.

Psoriderm Scalp Lotion Shampoo 250ml can be used daily if required, reducing frequency of use to once or twice a week as your condition improves. Thereafter, occasional use may be necessary. For adults, the elderly and children.

This medicine is for external use only. Avoid getting the lotion or lather in the eyes, mouth, or nose. Rinse with cold water if accidental contact occurs. If irritation persists, tell your doctor or Weldricks pharmacist.

• Do not use on broken, inflamed, or infected areas of skin.
• If skin irritation or acne-like eruptions occur, stop using the lotion and consult your doctor or Weldricks pharmacist.
• This lotion may stain skin, hair, or fabric.

Not to be used on:

• Sore, inflamed skin conditions.
• Infected or broken areas of skin.
• A variant of skin condition where blisters or pustules containing fluid appear on the skin (pustular type).
• Severe skin condition, with a rapid onset and short duration (acute type).
• If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to distilled coal tar, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using this medicine and inform your doctor or Weldricks pharmacist immediately.

If there is no improvement after 4 weeks, or if your scalp condition seems to look or feel worse, discontinue use of the product and consult your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
