Selsun Dandruff Treatment Shampoo 150ml

Not recommended for children under 5 years.

Children aged 5-14 years, adults and the elderly

Apply liberally twice weekly for two weeks and then once weekly for the next two weeks.

Thereafter use only as often as necessary to control the condition.

Do not use Selsun if you are allergic to any of the ingredients; you are in the first three months of pregnancy or if you are breastfeeding, as the safety of Selsun in pregnancy and its effect on breast milk are unknown; or on children under 5 years old. Selsun should be applied to the scalp, it is not a medicine and must not be swallowed. You should avoid getting Selsun in your eyes or letting it come into contact with broken skin or inflamed areas. Selsun should be thoroughly rinsed from the hair before dyeing, tinting or perming. It should not be used for two days before or after any of these hair treatments.

Take out hairgrips and remove jewellery.

Avoid contact with metal surfaces. Selsun can rarely cause problems such as itching and redness of the skin and scalp. If this occurs, stop using. Increased hair loss may occur when using Selsun. Dryness or greasiness of the hair or scalp may increase after using Selsun. Discoloration of the hair may occur when using Selsun. This can be avoided or minimised by thorough rinsing of the hair after treatment. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you notice any other unwanted effects not mentioned above. If Selsun is accidentally swallowed, seek medical advice immediately. Swallowing Selsun can cause nausea and vomiting. Do not use after its use-by date which is printed on the bottle. If the bottle is out of date, return it to your pharmacist and, if necessary, get a new prescription from your doctor. Keep your bottle in a safe place, where children cannot reach it.
