Professional Support Pharmacist
I started my Weldricks journey almost 25 years ago, attending our Edenthorpe branch every day after school for 2 hours. After completing my pharmacy degree at Manchester University, I worked at Stainforth for 13 years; I credit many of my values and customer service skills to the wonderful team and the kind patients there. I later worked at Hatfield where I developed a love for services and getting away from the dispensing benches.
Weldricks supported my further study, and I gained diplomas in both clinical pharmacy (Keele University) and management (Sheffield College) . My passion has always been patient safety; I remember redesigning the clinical governance process during my pre-reg year! I stepped into the role of Professional Support Pharmacist in 2024, where I enjoy the balance between RP days and head office, sharing my enthusiasm for safety and process across the company. I’m also responsible for trainee pharmacist development and I work closely with our local Universities, developing their undergraduate programmes and building connections for Weldricks’ future pharmacists through student placements in our branches.
