Oral medication can be given using a syringe or dropper. Gently hold your rabbit and place the syringe at the side of their mouth, slowly dispensing the medicine. Avoid forcing it, and speak to your vet if you’re unsure about dosing.

Use a small dosing syringe and carefully insert it at the side of the rabbit’s mouth, aiming towards the back of the tongue. Administer the medicine slowly to reduce stress and prevent aspiration. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your vet.

Prescription medications for rabbits should only be administered under veterinary supervision. Over-the-counter supplements may be given safely as directed, but for pain relief or serious conditions, consult a vet first.

Only veterinary-prescribed pain relief should be given to rabbits. Common pain relief for rabbits may include NSAIDs or other medications approved for small mammals. Never give human painkillers, as these can be highly toxic.
