Dosage for Bell's Cough Linctus Oral Solution 200ml:

• Adults and Children over 14 years: Take two 5ml spoonfuls (10ml) up to 4 times a day.
• Children 7-14 years: Take one 5ml spoonful (5ml) up to 4 times a day.

Do not give to children under 7 years. Do not exceed the stated dose.

Important Information and Precautions for Bell's Cough Linctus Oral Solution 200ml:

• Do not exceed the stated dose.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
• If symptoms persist, worsen, or new symptoms develop, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
• Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: No evidence suggests this medicine adversely affects pregnancy. However, as with all medicines, it is recommended that Bell's Cough Linctus Oral Solution 200ml is not taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
• Driving and Operating Machinery: This medicine may cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery. Please note, no studies on the effects on the ability to drive or operate machines have been performed.
• Alcohol: Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this product as it contains small amounts of ethanol (less than 100mg per 10ml dose). It should also be avoided by patients taking other medicines known to interact with alcohol (e.g., metronidazole).
• Sugar Content: Contains sucrose and glucose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product. Not suitable for diabetics due to its sugar content. Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine.
• Methyl Hydroxybenzoate E218: Contains 10.0 mg methyl hydroxybenzoate E218 per 10 ml dose; this may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
• Contra-indications: Care should be taken when given to patients with impaired renal function or hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients.
• Undesirable Effects: Nausea and vomiting have been reported on taking large doses of some ingredients. Healthcare professionals are asked to report any suspected adverse reactions via the Yellow Card Scheme at: www.mhra.gov.uk/yellowcard.
• Overdose: It is possible that excessive overdosing may produce nausea and vomiting. If this occurs, no further action should be necessary except to withdraw medication.
