Directions for Use

Credelio Plus 225mg / 8.44mg Chewable Tablets are intended for oral administration to dogs weighing between 5.5 kg and 11 kg. The tablets are palatable and should be administered with or after food to ensure optimal absorption. The recommended dose should be strictly observed as advised by your veterinarian.

Dosage Information (for dogs 5.5 – 11 kg bodyweight):

• One Credelio Plus 225 mg / 8.44 mg chewable tablet.

For the treatment of mixed infestations of ticks, fleas, mites, gastrointestinal nematodes, heartworm and/or lungworm, administer according to your veterinarian's instructions. For prevention of heartworm disease, monthly administration is required. For the treatment of demodicosis, monthly administration for two consecutive months is effective and leads to marked improvement of clinical signs. Seek veterinary advice for continued treatment if necessary.

When preventing heartworm, the first dose can be given after first possible exposure to mosquitoes, but not more than one month after this exposure. Heartworm prevention should continue monthly until one month after the dog has left the heartworm endemic region.

Important Warnings and Precautions

• Contraindications: Do not use Credelio Plus 225mg / 8.44mg Chewable Tablets in cases of known hypersensitivity to the active substances, lotilaner and milbemycin oxime, or to any of the excipients.
• General Warnings:
  • All dogs within the household should be treated with a suitable product to effectively manage parasite infestations.

• Adverse Reactions: Uncommonly reported side effects include gastrointestinal signs (diarrhoea, vomiting, anorexia), muscle tremors, lethargy, pruritus, and changes in behaviour. Neurological signs such as convulsion, muscle tremor, and ataxia have been reported rarely with lotilaner. These signs typically resolve without treatment.
• Use in Breeding, Pregnant, and Lactating Dogs: The safety of Credelio Plus 225mg / 8.44mg Chewable Tablets in breeding, pregnant, and lactating dogs has not been fully investigated. Use should be based on a benefit-risk assessment by the responsible veterinarian.
• Interactions: Concurrent treatment with other P-gp substrates may lead to enhanced toxicity. Strict adherence to the recommended dose is essential for MDR1 mutant (-/-) dogs (e.g., Collies).
