Octenilin wound irrigation solution for cleansing and moistening wounds
Octenilin wound irrigation solution from schülke is a sterile wound wash made for the rapid, effective cleansing of wounds. It's used to remove wound crusts made up of necrotic tissue, pathogens, biofilm and fibrinous films, and to keep wounds, dressings and wound pads moist. It's suitable for difficult-to-access areas such as fissures and wound pockets, and can be used during each change of dressing.
What makes Octenilin Wound Irrigation Solution different:
- Cleanses and moistens: for wounds, dressings and wound pads.
- Removes wound coatings: helps lift crusts, fibrinous films and biofilm.
- Well tolerated: schülke describes it as especially well tolerated by the skin and tissues.
- Usually no need to rinse off: rinsing afterwards is generally not necessary.
- Sterile, sealed 350ml bottle: use for up to 8 weeks after first opening.
From schülke, specialists in infection prevention
schülke, founded in 1889, specialises in infection prevention and hygiene. The octenilin® solution contains octenidine as a preservative, which inactivates germs in the solution to reduce the risk of germ transmission. Wounds that are slow to heal, getting worse or showing signs of infection need checking by a nurse, GP or pharmacist.
