Peptivet Oto Gel is a soothing ear care gel for dogs and cats, applied to the ear canal by pump every 48 hours after the ear has been cleaned. It contains the peptide AMP2041 with zinc PCA and vitamin PP, and helps to restore the skin barrier in the ear.

Description

A soothing leave-on gel for the ear canal

Peptivet Oto Gel is applied after cleaning and left in the ear. It helps improve the condition of the skin in the ear canal, counteracts irritation and helps restore the skin barrier. Zinc PCA and vitamin PP (niacin) moisturise, while glycerophosphoinositol lysine salt soothes.

The pump measures each application, so the amount is the same every time: 1 pump for cats, 2 for small to medium dogs and 3 for large dogs, every 48 hours. Your vet may adjust how much and how often. Browse more ear drops for cats and dogs.

From the Peptivet ear care range

Peptivet Oto Gel sits alongside Peptivet Ear Drops and Peptivet Shampoo from Vetruus, now part of Nextmune. The gel's thicker texture stays in place in the ear canal and is spread by massaging the base of the ear.

What makes Peptivet Oto Gel different:

  • Leave-on gel: applied after cleaning, not wiped away.
  • Every 48 hours: a pump measures each application.
  • Dosed by size: 1, 2 or 3 pumps for cats, small to medium dogs and large dogs.
  • AMP2041 peptide: with zinc PCA and vitamin PP to moisturise.
  • Helps restore the skin barrier: and counteracts irritation.
FAQ

What is the difference between Peptivet Oto Gel and Peptivet Ear Drops?

Peptivet Oto Gel is a thicker gel applied by pump every 48 hours, with the number of pumps set by the size of the pet. Peptivet Ear Drops are a liquid that fills the ear canal and are applied once daily for at least 14 days unless your vet advises otherwise. Both are used after the ear has been cleaned.

Can Peptivet Oto Gel be used on skin outside the ear?

Peptivet Oto Gel may suit other areas of skin, but speak to your vet before using it anywhere other than the ear canal.

Does my pet's ear need checking before using Peptivet Oto Gel?

Yes. Peptivet Oto Gel should only be used when the eardrum is intact, so if you are unsure, ask your vet to check your pet's ears first.

Directions

After cleaning the ear canal, apply Peptivet Oto Gel every 48 hours:

  • Cats: 1 pump
  • Small to medium dogs: 2 pumps
  • Large dogs: 3 pumps

Gently massage the base of the ear to ensure even distribution of the product. The frequency of application and dosage may be adjusted at the discretion of the veterinary surgeon.

Warnings

Use only when the eardrum is intact. Do not use if a ruptured eardrum is suspected. For external use only. If the gel gets into the eyes, rinse gently with water for several minutes. Keep out of reach of children.
