FAQ
When will the Wegovy pill be available in the UK?
The Wegovy pill received MHRA approval on 11 June 2026. It is expected to be available from July 2026. Sign up now to be notified when pre-orders go live on Weldricks Pharmacy to be among the first to receive it when stock arrives.
Will Wegovy pills be available on the NHS?
MHRA approval is the first step. For NHS availability in England, NICE must separately assess whether the treatment is cost-effective. This process has not concluded, so Wegovy pills are not currently available on the NHS. Private prescription via Weldricks is the most accessible route at launch.
Do I need a prescription for the Wegovy pill?
Yes. The Wegovy pill is a prescription-only medicine (POM). At Weldricks, you complete a short online consultation which is reviewed by one of our GPhC-registered prescribers. If approved, a private prescription is included in your order price. We cannot supply Wegovy pills without a valid prescription.
What happens to my pre-order if I'm not approved?
If our prescribers determine that the Wegovy pill is not suitable for you following your consultation, you will receive a full refund. Your health and safety always come first.
