Directions for Use

• For oral use only.
• Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: Take one Allevia Hives Fexofenadine 180mg tablet daily.
• Take the tablet with water before a meal.
• Children under 12 years of age: Not recommended.
• Do not exceed the stated dose.

Important Warnings & Precautions

• Do not take Allevia Hives Fexofenadine 180mg Tablets if you are allergic to Fexofenadine Hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients (see ingredients section).
• Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Allevia Hives Fexofenadine 180mg Tablets if you:
  • have problems with your liver or kidneys.
  • are elderly.
  • have or ever had heart problems, as Fexofenadine, like other antihistamines, may cause your heart to beat faster (tachycardia) or you feel your heart beating (palpitations).
• If any of these apply to you, or if you are not sure, tell your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
• Other medicines: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines, especially Erythromycin (an antibiotic), Ketoconazole (a treatment for fungal infections), or Apalutamide (a medicine for prostate cancer).
• Indigestion remedies: Indigestion remedies containing aluminium and magnesium may affect the action of Fexofenadine Hydrochloride. It is recommended to leave about 2 hours between taking Allevia Hives Fexofenadine 180mg Tablets and your indigestion remedy.
• Pregnancy and Breast-feeding: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, you should consult your doctor or a Weldricks pharmacist for advice before taking Allevia Hives Fexofenadine 180mg Tablets. It is generally not recommended unless specifically advised by a doctor.
• Driving and using machines: Allevia Hives Fexofenadine 180mg Tablets are unlikely to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, you should check that these tablets do not make you feel sleepy or dizzy before driving or operating machinery.
• Serious Allergic Reactions: If you get symptoms such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat and difficulty breathing after taking these tablets, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
• Possible Side Effects: Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people) include headache, drowsiness, feeling sick (nausea), and dizziness. Uncommon side effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people) include tiredness and sleepiness. Additional side effects (frequency not known) include difficulty sleeping (insomnia), sleeping disorders, bad dreams, nervousness, fast or irregular heart beat (palpitations), diarrhoea, skin rash, itching, hives, flushing, chest tightness, and blurred vision.
• Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the blister and carton.
• Dispose of medicines responsibly. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use.
