Description

Benadryl Benacort Nasal Spray 64mg - 120 Dose works by reducing inflammation in the nasal passages, providing effective and lasting relief from the discomfort of seasonal allergies. Regular use can help manage your symptoms throughout the hay fever season.

How Benadryl Benacort Works

The active ingredient, Budesonide, is a corticosteroid that acts locally in the nose to reduce inflammation. This helps to alleviate the common hay fever symptoms, allowing you to breathe more easily and feel more comfortable. For optimal results, it's often best to start using the spray a few days before you expect to encounter your specific allergens, such as pollen.

Directions

Shake the bottle before each use.

Adults (including the elderly) aged 18 years and over:

  • Initially, use two sprays into each nostril every morning.
  • If your symptoms improve, you may reduce the dose to one spray into each nostril every morning.
  • Do not use more than two sprays into each nostril in a day.

Important priming instructions:

Before first use, or if not used for over 24 hours, the pump may need to be primed:

  1. Shake the bottle and remove the protective cap.
  2. Hold the bottle upright.
  3. Pump the nozzle 5 to 10 times into the air until an even mist appears.
  4. If you leave a gap of more than a day between doses, prime the nozzle again with a single spray into the air.

How to use:

  1. Gently blow your nose.
  2. Shake the bottle and remove the protective cap.
  3. Hold the bottle upright as shown in the picture in the patient leaflet.
  4. Put the tip of the nozzle into your nostril, directing it to the side of the nose, away from the nasal septum.
  5. Spray once (or twice, depending on your dose).
  6. Repeat in the other nostril. You do not need to breathe in at the same time as you spray.
  7. Wipe the nozzle with a clean tissue and replace the protective cap.
  8. Store the bottle in an upright position.

Cleaning the nozzle:

Clean the plastic nozzle regularly. If spray is not coming out, first re-prime the nozzle. If it still doesn't work, clean as follows:

  • Remove the plastic nozzle from the bottle.
  • Wash it in warm (not hot) water.
  • Rinse the nozzle thoroughly, dry it, and then replace it on the bottle.
