Suffering from bleeding or irritated gums, or looking for effective support after dental procedures? Corsodyl Alcohol Free Original Mouthwash 300ml provides a powerful antibacterial solution containing 0.2% w/v Chlorhexidine Digluconate, designed to help treat and prevent a range of oral health problems.

Description

If you're not looking after your gums, you're not looking after your teeth.

Corsodyl treatment mouthwashes are antibacterial solutions containing chlorhexidine digluconate 0.2% w/v.

Chlorhexidine digluconate has a dual action:

  • It is an antibacterial ingredient that attacks and helps to kill the plaque bacteria that can cause your gum irritation.
  • It creates a protective layer over your teeth and gums for up to 12 hours, thus helping to prevent any new plaque forming.

With its convenient and easy to use format, the mouthwash is also particularly useful when more than one area in the mouth needs attention.

As well as being used to treat and prevent gum disease, Corsodyl is used for the following conditions:

  • Mouth ulcers
  • Denture sore mouth
  • Oral thrush
  • Promote gum healing after dental surgery or treatment
  • Maintain mouth hygiene
FAQ

Can I use Corsodyl Alcohol Free Original Mouthwash 300ml daily?

Corsodyl 0.2% w/v Chlorhexidine Digluconate mouthwash is intended for short-term use to treat specific oral conditions. For daily use, there are Corsodyl Daily products available. Always follow the directions on the label and consult a dentist or pharmacist if you have questions about long-term use.

Does Corsodyl mouthwash stain teeth?

Temporary staining of the teeth and tongue can sometimes occur with Chlorhexidine mouthwashes. This staining can often be reduced by brushing daily with toothpaste and avoiding tea, coffee, or red wine for at least an hour after use. If staining persists, it can usually be removed by a dentist or hygienist during a scale and polish.

How quickly can I expect to see results from Corsodyl?

You may start to notice improvements in gum health, mouth ulcers, or oral thrush within a few days of consistent use, as per the directions. For gum disease, a one-month course (600 ml) is generally recommended. If your symptoms do not improve or worsen, it is important to consult your dentist or pharmacist.

Is this mouthwash suitable for children?

Corsodyl Alcohol Free Original Mouthwash 300ml is not recommended for children under 12 years of age unless specifically advised by a dentist. Always ensure any oral care product used by children is age-appropriate and follow the dosage instructions carefully.
