Covonia Dry & Tickly Cough Linctus 300ml is specifically designed to tackle the discomfort of dry and tickly coughs. Unlike productive (chesty) coughs, dry coughs don't produce mucus, making them particularly irritating and persistent. This linctus works by creating a protective layer over your throat, which helps to soothe the sensitive tissues and reduce the urge to cough.

Ensure you always shake the bottle well before use and follow the directions carefully. For ongoing coughs that persist for more than 5 days, or if you have any concerns, please consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Shake the bottle well before use. For oral use only.

• Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years old: Take two 5ml spoonfuls when required, up to a maximum of 4 times a day.
• Children over 1 year: Take one 5ml spoonful when required, up to a maximum of 4 times a day.

Do not give to children under 1 year old unless your doctor tells you to. If symptoms persist for more than 5 days, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Do not store above 25°C. Once opened, use within 28 days. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

• Active ingredient per 5ml: Glycerol 1.36g.
• Other ingredients include: Honey, Capsicum Tincture (Capsicum Oleoresin, Ethanol), Menthol, Peppermint Oil, Anise Oil, Citric Acid (E330), Caramel (E150), Liquid Glucose, Blackcurrant Flavour (containing Ethanol, Propylene Glycol), Liquorice Liquid Extract, Purified Water.

It also contains ethanol, sucrose, glucose, propylene glycol. Sucrose 1.7g, glucose 0.3g per 5ml.

1. Before you use this medicine

Do not use the medicine if you have:

• An allergy to any of the ingredients listed in the ingredients section.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have:

• Diabetes: This product is not suitable for diabetics as it contains sucrose and liquid glucose. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice on alternative medicines.
• Pregnant or breastfeeding: Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using if you are pregnant, might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
• Intolerance to some sugars: If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.

This product also contains small amounts of ethanol (alcohol), less than 100mg per 10ml dose.

3. Further information

• If you accidentally take too much: See a doctor straight away. Take the pack with you to show which medicine you have swallowed.
• Do not use after the expiry date. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
• Return any unused medicine to the pharmacy for disposal.
