HC45 Hydrocortisone Cream 15g

Hc45 Hydrocortisone Cream is a specially formulated cream that has been clinically proven to alter your body's responses to inflammatory reactions and leave your skin feeling calm and soothed. It is suitable for adults and children 10 years and above. Treats conditions such as:

•  Itching
• Irritated or inflamed red skin
• Irritated or inflamed skin caused by insect bites
• Mild to moderate eczema
• Contact or allergic dermatitis
• Dry skin

Themedicine contains the active ingredient hydrocortisone acetate, which is a type of medicine called a corticosteroid which helps in the treatment of eczema.

Corticosteroids are used for reducing inflammation. Inflammation of the skin happens due to irritation of the skin, and is caused by the release of various substances that are important in the immune system. These substances cause blood vessels to widen, resulting in the irritated area becoming red, swollen, itchy and painful.

When hydrocortisone is applied to the skin it works by acting inside the skin cells to decrease the release of these inflammatory substances. This reduces swelling, redness and itch. Hydrocortisone is a mild corticosteroid that is applied to the skin to treat a wide variety of inflammatory skin disorders, such as eczema or insect bite reactions.

Adults and children 10 years and over:

Apply sparingly to a small area 1-2 times daily for a maximum of 7 days.

Not recommended under 10 years except on medical advice.

Do not use on eyes or face, anal or genital areas, or on broken or infected skin; e.g. impetigo, cold sores, acne or athletes foot.

Do not use in pregnancy or on children under 10 without medical advice.

If the condition does not improve, or anything unusual happens, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Warning: Contains Paraffin

Paraffin can become flammable when it soaks into fabric.

Do not to go near anyone smoking or using naked flames (e.g. candles, gas cookers or heaters).

Change people’s clothing and bedding regularly because emollients soak into fabric and can become a fire hazard.

Wash fabric that has come into contact with emollients at a hotter temperature.

For someone who has bedding or clothing likely to be impregnated with emollient cream: don’t have candles, electric blankets, overload plug sockets, or place hot hairdryers/hair straighteners on the bed.
