Loxicom 1.5mg/ml Oral Suspension is a prescription-only medication (POM-V) used to manage pain and inflammation in dogs. This 100ml dual pack (200ml total) provides a cost-effective solution for long-term management of chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, as well as acute musculoskeletal disorders.
Loxicom contains Meloxicam, a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID). It works by reducing the hormones that cause pain and inflammation in the body. This honey-flavoured oral suspension is designed for easy administration and precise dosing, helping to improve mobility and quality of life for dogs suffering from joint discomfort or recovery from surgery.

Once the bottle is opened, the suspension has a shelf-life of 6 months.
It is generally recommended to give Loxicom with or after food to reduce the risk of digestive upset.
Initial Treatment: A single dose of 0.2mg meloxicam per kg body weight on the first day.
Maintenance: A daily oral dose of 0.1mg meloxicam per kg body weight.
Administration: Shake well before use. The suspension can be administered using the measuring syringes provided, either directly into the mouth or mixed with food.
Precision: Always follow the exact dosage prescribed by your vet. Particular care should be taken with regard to the accuracy of dosing.

Prescription Required: This is a POM-V medicine. We can only dispense this once a valid prescription from a UK-registered vet is received.
Contraindications: Do not use in pregnant or lactating animals, or dogs under 6 weeks of age. Avoid use in dogs with gastrointestinal, liver, heart, or kidney disorders.
Side Effects: Potential adverse reactions include loss of appetite, vomiting, or diarrhoea. If these occur, discontinue use and consult your vet immediately.
Human Safety: People with known hypersensitivity to NSAIDs should avoid contact. If accidentally swallowed, seek medical advice immediately.
