Adults, the elderly and children*:

• As an emollient: Apply to the affected area as often as required. Smooth gently into the skin, following the direction of the hair growth.
• As a bath additive: Melt about 4g in hot water in a suitable container then add to the bath.
• As a soap substitute: Take a small amount of the ointment and lather it under warm water and use as required when washing or in the shower. Pat skin dry.

Please be aware that this product contains Liquid Paraffin which is highly flammable; keep away from open or gas fires or hobs and naked flames, including candles etc. Do not smoke when using these paraffin-containing preparations.

Bedding and clothing should be washed regularly (preferably daily) to minimise the build-up of impregnated paraffin. Although it may not be completely removed, unless it is washed at a high temperature, paraffin is invisible and can accumulate over time.
