How to Use AproDerm Ointment 50g

• Always wash your hands thoroughly before applying the ointment.
• Break the tamper-evident seal on the pump. Turn the pump clockwise and press the nozzle down several times to dispense the ointment onto your hand. Note: The first time you use it, you might need to press the nozzle up to ten times before the ointment comes out – this is normal.
• Apply AproDerm Ointment 50g regularly, liberally, and frequently (at least 3 times a day) to the affected area.
• Use gentle strokes and apply in the direction of hair growth.
• Do not rub the ointment into the skin, as this can generate heat, potentially causing further irritation and itching. Rubbing can also block hair follicles, leading to folliculitis (inflammation of the hair follicles).
• Leave a thin layer of ointment on the skin to soak in (the skin should glisten). This typically takes about 10 minutes.
• AproDerm Ointment 50g can be used as a pre-bathing emollient to help prevent the skin from drying out further.
• It should also be applied after bathing to skin that is almost dry to trap in moisture.
