Do not take Gaviscon Double Action Liquid Aniseed 500ml if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Rarely, allergic reactions such as difficulty in breathing and skin rashes have occurred.
Important Considerations:
- Each 10ml dose contains 127.88 mg sodium (equivalent to 6.4% of the recommended maximum daily dietary intake for an adult). The maximum recommended daily dose contains 1023.04 mg sodium (51.15% of the adult recommended maximum daily dietary intake). If you are on a low salt (sodium) diet or require this product daily for a prolonged period, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
- This product can mask symptoms of more serious, underlying medical conditions. If symptoms persist for more than 7 days continuously, please speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
- Contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
- Contains 1.05 mg benzyl alcohol per 10ml, which may cause allergic reactions. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or have liver or kidney disease, as large amounts of benzyl alcohol can build up and cause side effects (e.g., “metabolic acidosis”).
