Gaviscon Double Action Mixed Berries Flavour Oral Suspension should always be used exactly as described in the leaflet or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. Shake well before use.

Dosage:

• Adults, including the elderly and children over 12 years: Take 10ml to 20ml (two to four 5ml spoonfuls) after meals and at bedtime, up to four times a day.
• Children under 12 years old: Should only be taken on medical advice.

If symptoms persist after 7 days, consult your doctor.

Do not take Gaviscon Double Action Mixed Berries 250ml if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of its ingredients. Rarely, difficulty in breathing and skin rashes have occurred. Contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine if you:

• Suffer from significant kidney or heart disease, as certain salts could interfere.
• Have severe kidney problems.
• Have an electrolyte disturbance causing low phosphate levels in the blood (hypophosphatemia).
• Have reduced amounts of gastric acid in your stomach, as this product may be less effective.
• Are on a low salt diet or have kidney stones or high levels of calcium in your blood.
• Are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, especially within two hours of taking this product, as it can interfere with their action (e.g., antihistamines, certain antibiotics, iron preparations, antifungals like ketoconazole, digoxin, beta-blockers, neuroleptics, thyroxine, chloroquines, bisphosphonates).

As with other antacids, this medicine can mask symptoms of more serious, underlying medical conditions. If symptoms persist after 7 days, consult your doctor.

Children: Do not give to children under 12 years of age except on medical advice. There is a risk of increased sodium levels in the blood in children with kidney problems or inflamed stomach/bowel.

If you take too much: You may feel bloated. It is unlikely to cause harm, but consult your doctor or pharmacist if concerned.

Do not use after the expiry date. Use within 6 months of opening. Do not store above 30°C. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Check the cap seal is unbroken before first use.

Each 10ml of Gaviscon Double Action Mixed Berries Flavour Oral Suspension contains:

• Active Ingredients: 500mg Sodium Alginate, 213mg Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate, 325mg Calcium Carbonate.
• Other Ingredients: Sodium, Propylene Glycol (present in cranberry, raspberry and fantasy fruit flavours), Carbomer, Methyl (E218) and Propyl (E216) Parahydroxybenzoates, Sodium Saccharin, Raspberry Flavour, Cranberry Flavour, Fantasy Fruit Masking Flavour, Sodium Hydroxide, and Purified Water.

This product does not contain sugar or gluten. Note that it is high in sodium.
