What symptoms do Sudafed Day & Night Capsules relieve?

These capsules are designed to alleviate a range of discomforts, including:

  • Stuffy Nose: Phenylephrine hydrochloride acts as a decongestant to reduce swelling in the nasal passages, making it easier to breathe.
  • Headache & Body Aches: Paracetamol helps to reduce pain and discomfort.
  • Fever & Sore Throat: Paracetamol also works to lower fever and soothe a sore throat.
  • Tiredness & Drowsiness (Day Capsules only): The Day capsules contain caffeine to help combat the fatigue often associated with colds and flu, allowing you to maintain your daily activities.

The Night capsules provide a caffeine-free option to help promote restful sleep while still targeting your cold and flu symptoms.

FAQ

What is the key difference between the Sudafed Day and Night capsules?

The primary difference is the inclusion of caffeine in the Day capsules. Caffeine is added to help relieve tiredness and drowsiness often associated with colds and flu, helping you stay alert during the day. The Night capsules are caffeine-free to help ensure a more restful sleep while still providing symptom relief.

How quickly do Sudafed Congestion & Headache Day & Night Capsules start to work?

The active ingredients, paracetamol and phenylephrine, typically start to relieve symptoms within 30 minutes to an hour of taking the capsules. For caffeine, the effects can be noticed even sooner.

Can I take Sudafed Congestion & Headache Day & Night Capsules if I'm diabetic?

No, the Patient Information Leaflet states that if you have diabetes, you should not use this medicine. It is always best to consult your doctor or a Weldricks pharmacist for advice on suitable cold and flu remedies if you have existing health conditions like diabetes.
