How Benzydamine Hydrochloride Works

Benzydamine Hydrochloride is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with local anaesthetic properties. When used as a lozenge, it directly targets the inflamed tissues in the mouth and throat. This dual action helps to:

Each lozenge contains 3 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride (equivalent to 2.68 mg benzydamine). The other ingredients are isomalt (E 953), aspartame (E951), citric acid monohydrate, lemon flavour, mint flavour, quinoline yellow (E104), indigotin dye (E132).

For oral use.

• Take one lozenge 3 times a day.
• Let one lozenge dissolve slowly in your mouth. Do not swallow. Do not chew.
• Children 6 - 11 years of age should be supervised by an adult.
• Not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
