Imodium Dual Action Relief Tablets Pack of 6 are expertly formulated to tackle not just the symptoms of diarrhoea, but also the associated discomforts that can disrupt your day. Each tablet combines the power of Loperamide Hydrochloride, which helps to slow down an overactive bowel and restore your body's natural rhythm, with Simeticone, an ingredient specifically designed to break up trapped wind. This medicine is designed for short-term relief of sudden attacks of diarrhoea and associated symptoms in adults and children aged 12 years and over. It's an essential item for your medicine cabinet, especially for travel, ensuring you're prepared to manage unexpected digestive upset quickly and efficiently.

For oral use.

Swallow the correct number of tablets whole with a drink of water. Do not use more than the stated dose shown below.

Dosage Information

• Adults over 18 years of age: Take two tablets initially, followed if required, by one tablet after every further loose bowel movement.
• Young adults aged 12 to 18 years: Take one tablet initially, followed if required, by one tablet after every further loose bowel movement.

Do not take more than 4 tablets should be taken per day, for a maximum of 2 days.

If your diarrhoea lasts for more than 48 hours, contact your doctor. Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.

If you forget to take the medicine, take one tablet after the next loose stool (bowel movement). Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Do not take Imodium Dual Action Relief Tablets Pack of 6 if:

• You are a child less than 12 years old.
• You are allergic (hypersensitive) to Loperamide Hydrochloride, Simeticone, or any of the other ingredients of the tablets (see ingredients section and patient information leaflet).
• You have a high temperature (e.g. above 38°C) or blood in your stools.
• You are having a flare-up of an inflammatory bowel condition like ulcerative colitis.
• You have severe diarrhoea after taking antibiotics.
• You are constipated or your stomach appears swollen.

If any of these apply to you, get advice from a doctor or pharmacist without taking Imodium Dual Action Relief Tablets Pack of 6.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if:

• You have severe diarrhoea as your body loses more fluid, sugars, and salts than normal. You will need to replace fluid by drinking more liquid than usual. Ask your pharmacist about special powders which replace these.
• You have AIDS and your stomach becomes swollen.
• You have liver disease.
• You are pregnant, think you are pregnant, or planning to become pregnant.
• You are breastfeeding, as small amounts of the medicine may get into your milk. Talk to your doctor about a suitable treatment.
• You are taking other medicines including Quinidine, Itraconazole, Ketoconazole, Gemfibrozil, Ritonavir, or Desmopressin.
• You have a history of drug abuse. Loperamide is a type of opioid that acts directly on the gut when used as recommended but can cause other opioid effects when misused at high doses. Abuse and misuse have been reported; do not take this product for anything other than its intended use and never exceed the recommended amount.
• You experience serious heart problems (symptoms include fast or irregular heartbeat) or have taken too much Loperamide.

If symptoms persist after two days, stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor.

Special warnings about this medicine:

• This medicine may make you feel dizzy, tired, or sleepy. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.
• Contains Benzyl Alcohol: May cause allergic reactions. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have liver or kidney disease, or are pregnant/breastfeeding.
• Contains Maltodextrin (Glucose): Contact your doctor if you have an intolerance to some sugars.
• Contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per tablet, so it is essentially 'sodium-free'.
• Contains less than 0.00044 mg of alcohol (ethanol) per tablet.

Each tablet contains:

• Active ingredients: 2 mg Loperamide Hydrochloride and Simeticone equivalent to 125 mg Dimeticone.
• Other ingredients: Calcium hydrogen phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, acesulfame potassium, artificial vanilla flavour (includes propylene glycol, maltodextrin, ethanol and benzyl alcohol), sodium starch glycolate (type A) and stearic acid.

Contains Benzyl Alcohol and Maltodextrin (which contains Glucose).
