Ametop Gel 1.5g is an effective local anaesthetic containing 4% w/w tetracaine, specifically formulated to numb your skin and significantly reduce the pain associated with medical procedures like injections, blood tests, and cannula insertion. Ideal for adults and children over 1 month old, this refrigerated item provides targeted pain relief, helping to make uncomfortable procedures more manageable.

Description

Medical procedures involving needles can be a source of anxiety and discomfort. Ametop Gel 1.5g offers a reliable solution by numbing the skin before such procedures, helping to alleviate the 'sting' and making your experience much smoother. This fast-acting gel ensures the area is adequately prepared, providing comfort when you need it most.

How Ametop Gel 1.5g Works

Ametop Gel's active ingredient, tetracaine, is a powerful local anaesthetic. When applied to the skin, it works by temporarily blocking nerve signals in the treated area, preventing pain sensations from reaching the brain. This localised numbing effect is ideal for:

  • Relieving pain when needles are inserted into a vein for injections or blood samples.
  • Minimising discomfort during the insertion of small plastic tubes (cannulae) for drips.

It's an excellent choice for individuals who are apprehensive about needles or who experience significant discomfort during these routine medical tasks. Always read the Patient Information Leaflet carefully before use to ensure correct application and suitability.

As a trusted family-run pharmacy, Weldricks is committed to providing accessible and professional healthcare solutions. We offer Ametop Gel 1.5g with convenient delivery options across the UK, including free delivery on orders over £40 and discreet packaging.
