Preparation H Ointment relieves the symptoms of haemorrhoids (piles) such as pain, irritation and itching by helping to shrink the swollen tissues that cause the inflammation and therefore encouraging skin repair.

Adults, elderly and children over 12 years:

Apply freely to affected skin whenever you feel discomfort.

Keep using for a few days after skin discomfort has been relieved to obtain the best results.

Apply to the anal area at night and in the morning, as well as after each bowel movement.

If skin irritation is persistent or returns regularly, speak to a healthcare professional for further advice.

Children under 12 years:

Not to be used, except on medical advice.

This product is suitable for pregnant and lactating women.

For external and/or intrarectal use only.

Ask a doctor before use if you have heart disease; high blood pressure; thyroid disease; diabetes; difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are presently taking a prescription drug for high blood pressure or depression.

When using this product do not exceed the recommended daily dosage unless directed by a doctor.

Stop use and ask a doctor if bleeding occurs; condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days; introduction of applicator into the rectum causes additional pain.

If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

Keep out of reach of children.

If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Preparation H Ointment contains natural active ingredients. It is suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, you should always talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using any medicine during pregnancy.

Preparation H can cause allergic reactions. If you experience any of the following symptoms, you should seek medical advice immediately:

• Chest tightness
• Breathing difficulties
• Hives
• Swelling in the face, mouth, lips, tongue or throat
