Nurofen Plus provides powerful, dual-action relief for acute, moderate pain that has not been eased by paracetamol or ibuprofen alone. By combining two different types of painkillers—an anti-inflammatory and an opioid analgesic—it works at the site of the pain and in the central nervous system to provide effective management of short-term symptoms.

Description

These tablets are designed for the short-term management of moderate pain, including rheumatic pain, muscular and inflammatory pain. As a Pharmacy-only (P) medicine, Nurofen Plus is indicated for the short-term treatment of acute, moderate pain when other painkillers have not worked. The dual-action formula of 200mg Ibuprofen and 12.8mg Codeine Phosphate works to reduce inflammation and block pain signals simultaneously.

FAQ

Can I take Nurofen Plus with other painkillers?

You should not take this with other ibuprofen-containing products or NSAIDs. It can be taken with paracetamol if required, but always consult our pharmacist first.

How long can I use this product?

Nurofen Plus is for short-term use only. Do not take it for more than 3 consecutive days, as codeine can lead to physical dependence and addiction.

Is it suitable for children?

This product is strictly for those aged 12 years and older.

Directions

Directions and Dosage:

  • Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take 1 or 2 tablets with water every 4 to 6 hours as required.
  • Maximum Dosage: Do not take more than 6 tablets in any 24-hour period.
  • Duration: Use for a maximum of 3 days only. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients: Ibuprofen 200mg, Codeine Phosphate Hemihydrate 12.8mg.

Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycollate, hypromellose, and talc.
