FAQ

How does Ibuprofen 10% w/w gel work?

Ibuprofen 10% w/w gel, like Phorpain Maximum Strength Ibuprofen 10% Gel 50g, works by delivering the active ingredient, ibuprofen, directly into the skin at the site of pain. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces the production of prostaglandins, chemicals in the body that cause pain and inflammation. By applying it topically, it targets the affected area more directly than oral medication, offering localised relief.

Can I use Phorpain Maximum Strength Ibuprofen 10% Gel 50g with other pain relief medications?

It's important to consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Phorpain Maximum Strength Ibuprofen 10% Gel 50g alongside other pain relief medications, especially if they also contain NSAIDs (like oral ibuprofen or aspirin) or other blood-thinning medicines. Combining these could increase the risk of side effects.

Directions

Adults, the Elderly, and Children over 12 years:
