Adults, the elderly and children over 6 years:

• Apply a small amount of Algesal Cream 100g three times a day to the affected area.

• Use sparingly and avoid contact with eyes and sensitive areas of the skin.
• Wash hands well after use.

Children under 6 years: Not recommended.

If your symptoms worsen or have not improved after 7 days of treatment, you should ask your doctor for advice.

Do not use Algesal Cream 100g if:

• You are allergic to Diethylamine salicylate, aspirin, or any of the other ingredients listed.
• The surface of your skin is broken (e.g., cuts, grazes, or open wounds).
• You are a child under 6 years old or have a history of convulsions (fits).

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if:

• You are asthmatic.
• You are elderly, as using too much could cause agitation and confusion.
• You are taking medicines used to prevent blood clotting, such as warfarin, as Algesal could increase their anti-clotting effects.
• You are taking methotrexate (used for severe rheumatoid arthritis or certain cancers), as Algesal could lead to toxic levels of methotrexate in the blood.
• You are pregnant, might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding, unless your doctor has specifically told you to do so. Algesal should generally not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Important Warnings and Precautions:

• Do not smoke or go near naked flames while using this product or if fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings etc.) has been in contact with it. These fabrics burn more easily and are a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it.
• This medicine contains fragrance with d-limonene and linalool, which may cause allergic reactions.
